Identified by Mark Twain as “ The loveliest fleet of islands that lies anchored in any ocean”, Hawaii is a state in the western United States, which is located in the Pacific Ocean about 2,000 miles from the US mainland. The name Hawaii is thought to derive from Hawaiki, the former name of Raiatea, Polynesian ancestral home. This place is economically thriving, with agricultural diversity and manufacturing often called crossroads of the Pacific, the state is strategically important to the global defence system of the United States and it also serves as a transportation hub of the Pacific Basin. Hawaii is a cultural centre and a major tourist mecca.
The best time to visit Hawaii is between March and September, when it sees the least rain and the highest temperatures. This is the perfect time to enjoy the beach or water. Yet, Hawaii’s everlasting warm weather makes it a good destination at any time of year, with pleasant temperatures between 23°C and 30°C. It is soggy and marginally cooler during the rest of the year, especially at altitude. However, you may get the chance to see a tropical beach with a snow-capped volcano as a backdrop.
